Stoicism and the work
You don't control the review. You control the next decision.
Stoicism gets treated like a personality. Stay calm, don't complain, put a quote in the bio. That's not the useful part.
The useful part is simple. You don't control the review, the deadline, or whether someone likes what you made. You control the next decision. The name of the thing. The edge case. How you answer the critique.
That's the job, in code and in design. A lot of the pain is a reaction to something that was never yours. The work is what you do after you notice that.
A constraint isn't an insult. A bug isn't a verdict. Both are material. You change what you can and leave the rest alone.
Does that make you great? It makes you harder to pull off the work. That's usually how the good stuff actually gets made.
